MANSFIELD, M.A. (WPRI) - A Mansfield man will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing his 6-year-old daughter.

Kristopher Griffin, 38, was convicted of first degree murder Friday.

Prosecutors said Griffin slashed his daughter Kaitlynn's throat after breaking into her mother's house in July 2009.

He was sentenced to life with no possibility of parole.
