Mayor expected to make announcement Thursday

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) - Fall River mayor William Flanagan is expected to announce the city's next police chief on Thursday.

The announcement will be made in Fall River’s Corky Row neighborhood.

That's one of the more problematic parts of the city.

Current Chief John Souza is stepping down after 30 years because of medical reasons.
