FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) - A Fall River man has been convicted of a murder that went unsolved for two years.
Jermaine Holley, 27, was found guilty Wednesday of killing 23-year-old Suzy Goulart, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said.
Goulart was stabbed to death in April 2005. Authorities said fire crews responding to her Pleasant View Apartment found her body.
Holley was charged with Goulart's murder in May 2007, while he was behind bars for a separate crime.
Since he was convicted of first-degree murder, Holley was immediately sentenced Wednesday to life in prison without parole.
