DENNIS, Mass. (WPRI) -- Dennis Police are looking for a motorcycle driver after an early-morning wreck claimed the life of one man and injured another.
Police tell Eyewitness News that the wreck occurred on Route 28 near School Street in West Dennis at about 1 a.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived they found two motorcycles and their riders laying in the eastbound lanes of Route 28. Both drivers apparently lost control of their motorcycles and both hit hit a utility pole along the side of the road, then their bikes flipped onto their sides and threw the drivers clear.
A 35-year-old Hyannis man was pronounced dead at Cape Cod Hospital after the crash. The other driver, 43-year-old Edward Kelley of Yarmouthport, was flown to a Boston-area hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Police say a third motorcyclist was traveling with the two men at the time of the crash; officers say they want to talk to that driver.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the Dennis Police Department at (508) 394-1314.
