Believed to be connected to New Bedford robbery

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) - Dartmouth Police are investigating a bank robbery that is believed to be related to another robbery in New Bedford.

Investigators say a woman entered the Bristol Community Saving Bank on State Road Saturday morning and passed a note to the teller demanding money.

The suspect specifically said "no alarms and no dye pack" to the clerk. She then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a young female, possibly in her late teens to early twenties, petite, approximately 5'0"- 5'2" in height, with dirty blonde hair and fair skin.

She was wearing white sneakers, light blue jeans, and a black oversized hooded sweatshirt.

The suspect left the bank and went to the Wal-Mart parking lot across the street where she got into a dark colored sedan type vehicle with a rear fin and a roof rack and took off.

Investigators also believe that this is the same suspect that committed the bank robbery at the Bank Five on Acushnet Avenue in New Bedford on Thursday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Dartmouth Police Department.
