DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) -- State Police are investigating a fatal single car crash on Route 195 that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old woman.
Preliminary investigation by troopers indicated the vehicle, a 2002 Dodge Stratus, left the roadway and rolled over while traveling westbound on Route 195.
The driver, 23-year-old Kayla Botelho of Fall River, suffered fatal injuries and was announced deceased on scene.
Two lanes and the breakdown lane were closed for about three hours to allow for collision reconstruction and removal of the vehicle.
The crash will continue to be investigated by the Massachusetts State Police Dept. with the assistance of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section and troopers assigned to Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
Trooper were assisted at the scene by Dartmouth Fire Dept. and Mass. Dept. of Transportation.
