WRENTHAM, Mass. (WPRI) - Massachusetts State police Wednesday identified the victims of a fiery crash on Interstate 495 in Wrentham.
The crash happened early Tuesday morning around 1:28 a.m. A car driven by Joseph M. Mele, 22, of Mendon rolled over near exit 16 and burst into flames.
According to police, passenger Adam Palmer, 22, of Mendon was killed after being trapped in the burning car. Mele was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Police are still investigating the cause.
