SOMERSET, Mass., (WPRI) - A house explosion on New York Avenue in Somerset has left one person dead. Now, authorities are trying to figure out exactly what happened.
Eyewitness News has home video of the house explosion on our website.
The State Fire Marshal has confirmed that one person has been killed in the blast. The home has been leveled and that nearby homes have been damaged by the blast as well.
The Chace Street School has been opened for those residents being evacuated. Authorities are evacuating homes up to four blocks away from the scene.
There is no information as to what caused the explosion.
