Mob boss' lawyer talks about St. Laurent charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Earlier this year reputed mafia capo regime Anthony “The Saint” St. Laurent was federally charged for masterminding a murder-for-hire plot on a rival mobster. The assassination attempt was thwarted by the FBI.
In court documents obtained by Target 12, transcripts of a wiretapped conversation show St. Laurent claimed he had the permission of “Louie” to pull off the hit. Investigators say “Louie” refers to New England mob boss Luigi “Baby Shacks” Manocchio.
