JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) - David Swain takes the stand in his own defense, in his wife's murder trial.
The former Jamestown town councilor's lawyer tells the Boston Herald that his client is scheduled to testify in Tortola, Monday.
Swain is accused of killing his wife, Shelley Tyre, during a 1999 scuba diving trip.
A jury found Swain responsible during a civil trial in RI, back in 2006.
