Attleboro, Mass. (WPRI) - Crews from seven different communities were called to battle the fires along 95 Northbound in between exits two and three.
The flames broke out around one this afternoon. More than 50 acres were burned.
Traffic was backed up for miles on the highway as crews tried to put the fire out. Officials feared that heavy winds would help spread the flames.
The fire came within a mile from some homes, however, no one was
evacuated. Investigators are still looking into a cause.
