PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Seasonal employment in RI is not expected to increase for the holidays this year.

The Providence Journal is reporting that human resource consultants, the Hay Group, conducted a survey late this summer.

About 40% of stores said they expected to hire between 5%-25% fewer temporary workers in 2009, than they did in 2008.
