Seasonal employment will not increase

Seasonal employment in RI is not expected to increase for the holidays this year.

The Providence Journal is reporting that human resource consultants, the Hay Group, conducted a survey late this summer.

About 40% of stores said they expected to hire between 5%-25% fewer temporary workers in 2009, than they did in 2008.
