Providence, R.I. (WPRI) - In his first few days in office, President Barack Obama overturned the "Mexico City Policy."
The policy prohibits aid to international family planning organizations that provide abortions.
In an editorial in Rhode Island Catholic, Bishop Thomas Tobin, strongly criticizes that decision in a unique way.
In his editorial, without a doubt, the Bishop creates an interview with the President.
He provides the questions about this part of the abortion issue, and Obama's possible answers.
Bishop Tobin calls the interview a rhetorical device but also says he didn't put all the words in the President's mouth.
Tobin says everything the President said with a couple of exceptions perhaps is something he said during his campaign or during the inaugural speech.
One of the exceptions is also the most proactive.
Keep in mind, this is the Bishop, portraying an answer from the President.
Quote, "I believe that people overseas should have the same right as Americans have, the right to kill their children and use abortion as a form of birth control.
No apologies from Bishop Tobin, in fact, he implies the President should apologize for campaigning on a promise of bringing the country together and then allowing your tax dollars to fund abortions.
