NEW BEDFORD, Mass., (WPRI) - Police make a bust at a store in New Bedford selling thousands of dollars in counterfeit goods.

Authorities say a store downtown was selling knock-off purses, designer jeans and shoes. Officials say that if the items were all real they would have gone for nearly 30 thousand dollars.

New Bedford Police Lt. Jeffrey Silva says, "What you are looking at... is probably about six-thousand dollars and change, out of pocket for a local store owner. That store owner could expect to double that money easily, maybe make as much as $15,000 dollars."

The suspect faces felony charges.
