PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - The third phase of the Iway project is opening on Thursday, June 18th. Officials from the Department of transportation say they expect delays an tie-ups for the fist commute.

Eyewitness News is taking you along for the ride before the road is open to the public so you can see exactly how the changes will affect you and your commute.

On I-195 in Providence, the new "split" to I-95 will be located just after the Washington Bridge. Drivers will either use the old highway to go north on I-95, or the new highway to head south.

In a web extra, Eyewitness News Reporter Danielle North shows you what to expect.
