PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A loophole in Rhode Island's H1N1 student vaccination campaign is leaving some kids unprotected.
Rhode Island students are getting the H1N1 vaccine through their schools, not their pediatrician.
Officials at the Rhode Island Department of Health say this affects some children, such as those who live in Rhode Island but go to school in Massachusetts or Connecticut, where the priority is high-risk children, not school-aged children.

Children who live in Massachusetts, but who have a Rhode Island-based doctor are also unable to get the shot until the school clinics are complete.
Officials say they are working on a way to help these families out, but haven't come up with a plan yet.
