Sex offender busted for child porn

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) - A level three sex offender is now facing child pornography charges after Fall River police said they found a large quantity of elicit DVDs, CDs and VHS tapes in his Rodman St. home.

Police said after viewing just one of the DVDs seized from Shawn MacBarron's apartment, detectives found more than 80 photographs of child pornography.

MacBarron has been designated as a level three since a 2002 conviction for open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior. He was also convicted in 2006 of enticing a child under the age of 16. Level three means the sex offender is most likely to reoffend.

Fall River's Major Crimes Division is asking anyone with information involving MacBarron to call 508-324-2796, Ext. 264.
