East Providence Fire Department was called to city hall Friday morning to investigate two suspicious letters sent to the City Manager's Office.

According to the fire chief, the letters were similar to the suspicous letter sent to the home of city Councilman Brian Coogan Thursday afternoon.

That letter contained a white power substance, later determined to be sugar. It's not know if the letters sent to city hall contained powder.

Investigators Thursday night said they had identified a suspect in the Coogan case, but had not made an arrest.
