PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A bank robber is sentenced to more than seven years in prison.

Back in January, Craig Shacklock tried to rob the Bank of America on Westminster Street in Providence, but was unsuccessful.

An hour later, he showed up the Citizens Bank on the same street and made off with more than $8,000 in cash.

Shacklock was arrested a short time later after a Providence police officer on patrol recognized him.
