Barber gives $3 haircuts to unemployed

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A local barber is doing his part to help Rhode Islanders get through the unemployment crisis.

John Soteros from East Providence is giving three dollar haircuts, to anyone who's currently out of work.

Soteros the owner of John's Barbershop in Riverside says he's been cutting hair for 50 years and this is the worst he's ever seen things.

"I have quite a few now that are coming in unemployed. A lot of them are younger with families," says Soteros.

Soteros has been offering the discount for about six weeks now. He says he has no plans to stop anytime soon.
