Family, friends reflect on Pell's life

NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) - Following Monday's funeral, friends, family, and colleagues gathered at Salve Regina University to reflect on Senator Pell's life and accomplishments.
The loss of Senator Claiborne Pell brought them together. Former colleagues and friends, his wife and extended family all mourning the loss and celebrating his life.
Eames Hamilton Yates, Jr., Pell's grandson remembers his love of running and quirky sense of humor.
As a colleague, Pell is remembered for his courtesy. Senators, former staffers, and family all with a personal Pell story. But in every story, the same sentiment.
After the reception friends and family attended a private burial service where Senator Pell was laid to rest.
