EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I (WPRI) - Chang Farm is recalling soy bean sprouts with a sell-by date of Friday July 17th because of possible listeria contamination.
The recalled sprouts were sold in 10 pound bulk bags, as well as 12 ounce retail packages, labeled under the Chang Farm brand. They were sold in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Listeria can cause deadly infections in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. So far, no illness has been reported by the company.
