WARWICK, RI (AP/WPRI)- The Community College of Rhode Island is announcing a new program to provide job training to the long-term unemployed and veterans.
The program is funded by federal grant money.
Details of this program will be announced Friday afternoon at the CCRI Knight Campus.
The program will launch this summer and is designed to train workers in career-specific skills over a short period of time.
U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Representative Jim Langevin and State Department of Labor and Training Director Charles Fogarty are expected to attend the announcement.
