West Warwick fire displaces six people

Cause of fire under investigation

WEST WARWICK , R.I. (WPRI) – The American Red Cross is assisting six people after a multi family home caught fire on Saturday.

The fire started just after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at 1674 Main St. in West Warwick.

Officials said heavy smoke was coming from the attic when they arrived on scene.

Crews were able to put the fire out quickly. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
