WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- Police are seeking the public's help in their attempt to identify a woman suspected of stealing a lost wallet and using its contents to buy groceries.
Police say that on Monday, Oct. 1, a female dropped her wallet as she entered Dave's Marketplace, located at 18 Airport Rd., and didn't realize her mistake. The suspect spotted the wallet as she entered the store a short time later, then examined its contents as she nervously looked around.
She then left the store without turning in the wallet, and police believe she paid for her groceries with cash from the wallet.
The suspect is described as being of medium height, and having a light complexion and a large build.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect is asked to contact the Warwick Police Department at (401) 468-4200 ex. 4246.
