WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - A Providence County Grand Jury Tuesday handed up a murder indictment against a Warwick man accused of killing an elderly Pawtucket woman.
Robert Lamoureux, 52, is accused of killing 83-year-old Pauline Buco in Pawtucket on or about Nov. 27, 2010. Family members became worried and called police after Buco failed to show up for a hair appointment.
Eight months later, police arrested Lamoureux last August after investigators said they linked his DNA with the crime. He was arraigned and has been held without bail since then.
While police have not revealed a motive, they did say several items were missing from Buco's home after her body was discovered.
Lamoureux - who spent 20 years in prison for murdering a woman in 1983 - is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court Feb. 22.
