WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - A well known furniture store has announced that it will be opening its 5th location in Rhode Island later this year.

Eliot Tatelman, the President and CEO for Jordan's Furniture confirms the company will open a store in the Warwick Mall . The 100,000 square foot store will serve as one of the anchor tenants at the mall, joining Macy’s, Target, and JC Penney.

“After considerable research and site reviews, the space in the Warwick Mall is perfectly suited for us. We are very excited about the prospects of providing Rhode Islanders with a vast assortment of high quality furniture and mattresses, all with our famous Under Price Guarantee.” said Tatelman.

Jordan's will be located where the Old Navy was located before the Historic Floods of 2010 . That flooding left the mall underwater, and badly damaged inside. It remained closed for months. Aram Garabedian, the Co-owner of the Warwick Mall says the addition of Jordan's Furniture will help mall continue its its recovery.

"It will be one stop shopping. The mall is in the center of Rhode Island and we have a beautiful Macy's, JC Penney, and Target." said Garabedian, "It will add a dimension we didn't have. A Furniture store!"

Jordan's will include two levels of showrooms, along with customer “attractions". The company estimates hiring 100 employees for the new location. It is set to open sometime in the Fall of 2011.
