WARWICK R.I. (WPRI) – Warwick held its annual tree lighting ceremony Sunday night.
Mayor Avedisian and other residents came out to celebrate the holiday season together.
Girls from the local Warwick Girl Scout division sang carols at the event.
The lighting comes days after the lighting of the controversial “Holiday Tree” at the Rhode Island State House.
North Providence also held its annual tree lighting ceremony on Sunday.
