Storms bring down trees, flood roads
Heavy rains cool down R.I., but cause damage too

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - After several hot days, heavy rain and thunderstorms cool down Rhode Island, but also brought some damage.
Residents in Coventry reportedly saw some hail and fallen tree limbs
Meanwhile, a West Warwick shop owner spent the day cleaning up after a nearby pond overflowed. Flooding has been a common problem for Domenic Lombardi since the historic storms hit 2 years ago, something he contributed to build-up around the pond.
In preparation, Lombardi and others lay sandbags to protect their strip mall. However, every time there is significant rainfall, the businesses lose thousands of dollars due to the flooding.
