WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) – The group working to build a memorial at the site of the Station Nightclub fire says sales are slow for a major benefit show.
The Station Fire Memorial Foundation says it needs to raise more than $1 million to build and maintain the memorial.
The tenth anniversary of the 2003 fire that killed 100 people is next Wednesday.
The March 8th comedy show at PPAC will be the first major fundraiser since the group secured the land for a memorial at the site of the fire.
The group hopes to raise more than $50,000 at the March 8th fundraiser, click here for ticket information.
