WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- A local attorney is continuing to pay for allegedly stealing money from one of her clients.
Janet Mastronardi, 52, of Warwick, was arrested last week and accused of embezzling more than $140,000 from an 88-year-old client .
Tuesday, the Rhode Islant State Bar Association released a statement which said Mastronardi had been suspended from the Bar indefinitely for engaging in "professional misconduct."
Mastronardi was arrested on embezzlement and unlawful appropriations charges. If convicted, she could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison and lofty fines.
