PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Criminal charges against a local insurance executive have been dropped.
A Superior Court judge dismissed charges of larceny and obtaining money under false pretenses against former Beacon Mutual CEO Joseph Solomon.
Solomon was accused of stealing more than $8,000 from the Warwick-based worker's compensation insurer back in 2003.
The judge determined there was no evidence that he intended to commit a crime.
Back in June, a judge refused to throw out the charges.
