JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- State and local police conducted a drug raid at a Johnston home Friday and have taken at least one person into custody.
The raid took place just after 12:30 p.m. at 1164 Plainfield St. Officers were seen taking several plastic bins from the home, but have yet to release the details of their contents.
Neighbors tell us they saw several marijuana plants being removed from the residence.
"I couldn't believe it," said a neighbor who wished to stay anonymous. "They seem like really quiet people, they never bothered anybody or anything."
We're told the homeowner did have a medical marijuana card, but we're still waiting on police to confirm the details of the case.
