WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI)-- Passengers at T.F. Green Airport are in for a treat Friday

Due to the upcoming February winter break, a spike in passenger traffic is anticipated at the airport between Friday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 24.

To kick-off the winter break, the Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) will have various events happening throughout the terminal Friday.

Samboni, the Providence Bruins mascot, will be greeting travelers through the terminal. The Providence College cheerleaders and Friar mascot will also be present.

At 4:30 p.m. at the arrivals level and 5 p.m. at the departures level of the airport, The Rhode Island Kung Fu and Lion Dance Club will perform in celebration of the Chinese New Year.

Special parking rates ranging as low as $10 per day to $50 per week will be available for travelers parking on-airport. Visit www.parkpvdairport.com for more information and a discount coupon.
