CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - A woman has died after her pickup truck rolled over in Cranston early Tuesday morning.
It happened just after 5 a.m. on I-295 near the Route 37 on-ramp, a potentially dangerous location during the fourth of July holiday.
Eyewitnesses told State Police that the driver in the pickup truck was traveling too fast, left the roadway and then rolled the vehicle.
According to police, the woman was the only one in the vehicle at the time of the crash. They also said she was wearing her seatbelt.
She was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. State Police said the victim is a 25-year-old Katie Boisvert of West Warwick.
