BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) – A Connecticut man has been sentenced for causing a crash on Route 95 that killed a Rhode Island man in 2010.
According to the Connecticut Post, Allen Boulware, 36, of Bridgeport, pleaded guilty on Monday to evading responsibility and making a false statement.
Police say Boulware fled the scene of the March 2010 accident on the Moses Wheeler Bridge in Stratford, CT.
David Rapoport, 53, of Warwick died after being ejected from the tractor trailer he was driving.
Boulware was linked to the car by a cell phone that was recovered from inside the vehicle.
Boulware was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
