WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) - The driver in an overnight hit and run accident is now in custody.
The accident happened on West Shore Road, near Warwick Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
According to police, the driver struck a man and ran into the woods.
The suspect's vehicle was located in Hopkinton.
There's no word on what charges he will be facing.
The victim, an unidentified 22-year-old, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
