Warwick, R.I. (WPRI) - More than 600 job-seekers turned out Tuesday for a chance at 125 full-time positions with CVS.
The Woonsocket-based pharmacy held a job fair at the CCRI campus in Warwick. The company is trying to fill jobs at its new call center in Cumberland. Positions include pharmacy technicians and customer service.
With Rhode Island's unemployment rate at an all-time high of 12.7%, the job fair drew applicants of all ages; from recent college graduates, to experienced workers who were recently laid off.
One such job-seeker tells us he's trying to keep a positive attitude.
"I've got to keep my faith up. What am I supposed to do? There's nothing else left. You've got to keep faith."
