CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- Just two years after Katharine Gibbs College in Cranston reopened under a new name, it's closing once again.
The for-profit Sanford-Brown Institute said they've stopped taking new students, and will let current students finish their programs of study.
The institute cites low enrollment and diminished employment opportunities for health certificate graduates in Rhode Island as its reasons for closing.
The school expects to keep the campus open until January 2014 to wrap things up.
