Cranston police hunting for purse thief
Suspect described as heavyset white male

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Cranston police are looking for a man who allegedly stole a woman’s purse.
The man was seen on surveillance video leaving the Stop and Shop on Atwood Avenue.
The victim chased the suspect out of the store and was injured during her pursuit.
The man is described as a heavyset white male with dark hair and a chinstrap-style beard.
He took off in a blue RAV-4 SUV-style vehicle.
Anyone with any information on the suspect's identity is asked to contact Cranston police.
