Body found in car behind Walmart

Vehicle found in ditch

CRANSTON R.I. (WPRI) -- Police and emergency crews converged at the Walmart on Plainfield Pike in Cranston Monday afternoon after a vehicle was discovered in a ditch behind the store.

The car was overturned down the embankment, partially submerged in water, in a wooded area.

Police confirmed one woman was found dead inside the vehicle and her identity is still unknown.

No word on how the woman died or how the vehicle ended up in the water.
