CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Police in Cranston said a car that crashed into a pole and then fled the scene left a mess early Saturday morning.
The crash happened around 3 a.m. in the area of New London Avenue and Howard Avenue.
Officers said that a utility pole was knocked down and as a result, multiple power outages in the area were reported.
Crews with National Grid were called to replace the pole later Saturday morning and were working to restoring power for all affected customers. Police on scene and National Grid workers expected power to be back on shortly after noon time.
As for the car responsible, police said they have no leads on who did it and no injuries were reported.
