CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- People living in one Cranston neighborhood got a rude awakening early Sunday morning. A car crashed through a fence, and came to a stop in someone's front lawn on Budlong Road.
Neighbors tell Eyewitness News that they heard a crash and then saw police officers running after the occupants of the car, who were fleeing down Randolph Street.
Residents say police returned to the scene a little later and told them that the car had been stolen.
There are no reports of any injuries in the crash, and so far Cranston police have not confirmed whether or not they were chasing the car, or if there have been any arrests
