Two arrested in Providence stabbing

Providence man left in critical condition

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A Providence man is in critical condition after being stabbed outside Club Platinum early Sunday morning.

Police were called to 1206 Broad Street at 2:17 a.m. where the 24-year-old victim was attacked.

On scene officers arrested two suspects, Roberto Martinez, and Victor Lopez, in connection with the stabbing. They will each be charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and will be held for arraignment in Providence District Court.

Police have not identified the victim, but say he suffered stab wounds to the chest, back and legs. He is being treated at Rhode Island Hospital.
