PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - Opening statements are expected to begin Wednesday afternoon in the trial of a Providence police officer accused of raping a 19-year-old woman at a police substation.
Marcus Huffman has pleaded not guilty to the charges stemming from the alleged incident in 2007.
Earlier this week, the Target 12 Investigators reported that the alleged victim filed a lawsuit against Huffman, police chief Col. Dean Esserman and the city of Providence.
