TIVERTON, R.I. (WPRI) - Tiverton police have arrested two people in connection with an expensive stolen sculpture.
Police arrested 29-year-old Robert Coelho of Fall River, and 31-year-old James Machaught of Tiverton. Both men will be arraigned in Newport District Court Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the men snatched the 300 pound bronze sculpture from outside the Four Corners Art Center this week.
It stands at about four-feet tall, and depicts a woman, back arched, arms outstretched, with her face lifted to the sky.
The sculpture is worth about $30,000, and so far has not been recovered.
