HOPE VALLEY, R.I. (WPRI) - A visiting Boy Scout leader from Connecticut has died at a local camp.

The 44-year-old collapsed and died Wednesday afternoon at Hope Valley's Camp Yawgoog.

He was with other scout leaders on the challenge course when he collapsed.

The man was taken to Westerly Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Scout officials say grief counselors are on hand at the camp to offer assistance.
