SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) - A nine hour water search is now over and RI Department of Environmental Management officials said the 50-year-old fisherman who fell overboard Tuesday night has been found.
The man's unoccupied boat ran aground in South Kingstown and was found shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday on Green Hill Beach, prompting an overnight search.
The man was found in the water by the Coast Guard and was taken to South County Hospital for Hypothermia, but is expected to be fine.
