SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) -- South Kingstown Police are investigating after a woman was killed in a single-car crash Saturday night.
Police tell Eyewitness News that they responded to a location on Moonstone Beach Road shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived they found a vehicle that had run off the road and hit a utility pole.
The passenger of the vehicle, 24 year-old Tanya Chabot of Harrisville, was killed in the crash. The driver, 23 year-old Zachary Kahan of Cranston, was hospitalized and is being charged with Driving Under the Influence, death resulting.
Police continue to investigate and did not release any additional details.
