SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) - University of Rhode Island students will be running a mock pharmacy clinic targeting a hypothetical zombie outbreak in an effort to test the public health system's emergency response.

About two dozen pharmacy students will give out mock anti-viral "medications" named Zombivir and Gummivir this week to prevent the spread of what they're calling the zombie disease. The medicines are actually gummy candies.

Jeffrey Bratberg, a professor of pharmacy at URI and an expert on bioterrorism, came up with the idea for the mock clinic. His class aims to teach students how to recognize infectious disease outbreaks and learn how and where they spread.

There is enough of the mock medication to treat 500 "patients."
